February 4, 2017 – Eligible voters in the constituency of Saskatoon Meewasin are reminded to get on the voters list prior to the March 2 by-election.
Any voter who was registered with Elections Saskatchewan and on the voters list for the April 2016 general election does not need to re-register.
“If you were registered for last April’s general election, and you haven’t moved, you are already registered and all set to vote in the Saskatoon Meewasin by-election. There’s nothing else left to do, except vote,” says Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan.
“But if something has changed in your information, or you weren’t registered for last April’s general election, I encourage you to get on the voters list. Registering ahead of time ensures you receive a Voter Information Card (VIC), and it speeds up your voting experience. It takes just a minute to register, and can be done over the phone or on our website.”
To vote in the Saskatoon Meewasin by-election you must:
You can register online at www.elections.sk.ca/voterregistration or by calling 1-877-958-8683.
Voter Information Cards (VICs) will be mailed to all registered voters in the constituency of Saskatoon Meewasin the week of Feb. 13. If you are an eligible voter and do not receive a VIC in the mail, you can register online or by calling us.
This constituency has been vacant since the passing of Roger Parent, MLA for Saskatoon Meewasin, on November 29, 2016.
