August 3, 2023. Six days of voting begins today at noon in three provincial by-elections. Voting will be held August 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 in Regina Coronation Park, Lumsden-Morse, and Regina Walsh Acres. There is no voting on August 7 and 9.
There are 15 voting locations, five in each constituency, open on all six of the voting days. Lumsden-Morse will have an additional 16 voting locations open only on August 10 in some smaller communities across the constituency.

Voting hours are noon to 8 p.m. on August 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8. The hours extend from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the last day of voting, August 10. Counting of the ballots begins after 8 p.m. on August 10. Click here for ballot counting timelines.
To vote you must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old, and have lived in Saskatchewan for the last six months. You must show your ID at the voting place before receiving a ballot. A list of acceptable ID is at www.elections.sk.ca/id.
A total of 630 vote by mail applications were approved before the August 1 deadline to apply. This is comprised of 168 in Lumsden-Morse, 204 in Regina Coronation Park, and 258 in Regina Walsh Acres.
A total of 36,757 voter information cards were mailed out to registered voters in these three constituencies. These cards detail voting location options, dates, and times. Any eligible voter who did not receive a card may register in-person at a voting location on any of the above voting days.

Voters may notice fewer election workers in these by-elections. With the introduction of alternate procedures such as voter information card scanners, electronic poll books, and vote counting equipment, only 29 election workers are needed in each of Regina Coronation Park and Regina Walsh Acres, and 73 workers in Lumsden-Morse.

These by-elections will fill vacancies in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. Mark Docherty, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Regina Coronation Park, resigned February 10, 2023. Lyle Stewart, MLA for Lumsden-Morse, resigned March 10, 2023. Derek Meyers, MLA for Regina Walsh Acres, passed away March 28, 2023.
