Change in Voting Location

Changes in Voting Location

As we get ready to serve voters, there is one change in voting location that you should be aware of.

The early voting location in Cumberland House, which had been scheduled for the Cumberland House Cree Nation Senator Hall, has been moved to the Cumberland House Cree Nation Band Office for Tuesday, October 22 and Wednesday, October 23, only, due to a double booking. Signage has been posted on the Hall to direct voters to the new location.

In addition, due to worker movement, the early voting ballots from Cumberland House will be counted in the constituency of Cumberland returning office (727 Poirier Street, La Ronge) beginning at 8 p.m. on Monday, October 28. All candidates in the constituency have been informed of this.

Additional Mobile Polls

Having had several voters apply for homebound voting at certain locations, I have made the decision to serve these locations more efficiently with a homebound mobile poll.  In these instances, anyone living at these facilities (not only those who applied for homebound voting) will be able to cast these ballots at these polls. These voters will still have the option of voting at other voting locations in the constituency.

The information on these mobile polls is below:
