Below is a brief update on the administration of the Final Count.

Final Count Results Released

As indicated in my Communique on Thursday, April 14, the Final Count for the 2016 Provincial Election began province-wide at 9 a.m. this morning.

The Final Count has been completed for all 61 constituencies in the province and these election results will be available in a few minutes at http://results.elections.sk.ca. The results include all ballots cast throughout the general election process – including absentee, hospital and remand votes, which were not included in the results released on election night. These results will not be considered official until the Return of the Writs, scheduled for April 27, 2016.

The number of registered voters provided with these results reflects those voters whose names appeared on the voters list used for advance and election day voting. This figure does not include voters who registered at the time of advance and election day voting. A figure for all registered voters will be included in the Statement of Votes to be released in Fall 2016.

I would ask that you forward this communique to your candidates, business managers and other party representatives.

I will be in contact with you on Monday with information related to possible recounts. Thank you for your cooperation throughout this process.

Voting Week is October 22 to 28. No voting on October 27.Learn more.
