Poll by Poll Results for RNE

Poll by Poll Results Available

Earlier today, we posted a CSV file of the poll by poll results for the Regina Northeast by-election to our website. This file can be found at: https://www.elections.sk.ca/election-results/ along with CSV files from other recent by-elections.

As I said in March, for by-elections, we will aim to have poll by poll results available to you within about a month of polling day. For general elections, poll by poll results will take significantly longer but we will aim to provide registered political parties with an embargoed file once they are ready.

Update – Online Filing Application for Party Election Expense Return

As you heard during our June meeting, we are developing new functionality to allow political parties to complete their election expense returns online. Our web-based application (ELMS) is a secure web-based application that can be accessed any time of day from any computer and has been used by business managers to electronically prepare Candidate Election Expense Returns since the last general election.

The new functionality will allow Chief Official Agents to use ELMS to:

  • electronically prepare the Party Election Expense Return;
  • electronically submit the prepared return to auditors for their review;
  • allow auditors to propose changes and for Chief Official Agents to accept or reject those changes; and
  • allow Chief Official Agents to print a final copy of the return and some supporting documentation for submission to Elections Saskatchewan.

The application will allow users to easily record expenses online with automatic calculations, totaling, as well as built-in tips and reminders to assist you while completing your return.

We anticipate that the updated application will be available before the end of November for you to use while preparing the Party Election Expense Returns for the Regina Northeast by-election. Detailed guides for both Chief Official Agents and Auditors will be available at time of roll-out. We would also be pleased to offer personalized training for you and your Auditors should you be interested.

In anticipation of this change, we ask that you please notify your auditors. Should they have any questions or concerns, Jennifer Colin (306.787.4061) or Aaron Thompson (306.570.2134) at our office would be happy to speak with them to address any concerns.
