Saskatchewan’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) tabled the institution’s annual report today in the Saskatchewan Legislature.

“This has been a foundation-building year for the institution,” says Dr. Michael Boda, Saskatchewan’s Chief Electoral Officer and head of Elections Saskatchewan, the provincial election management body.

“Key to this process has been developing a shared understanding of who we are and what we stand for as an organization. As part of the strategic planning process the Elections Saskatchewan management team undertook this past year, we identified six core values—independence, impartiality, professionalism, accountability, innovation and service orientation—that that guide us in everything we do.”

“I am proud to release Values Voters Can Count On, our 2013-2014 annual report. With this institutional foundation in place, we are now moving ahead on planning and delivering a successful modern election.”

The 28th General Election is set, by law, for November 2, 2015. If there is a conflict with a federal election at that time, the alternative date for Saskatchewan’s election moves to April 4, 2016.

Elections Saskatchewan is the province’s independent, impartial, professional election management body. Given a mandate from the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly, it organizes, manages and oversees provincial electoral events.
