September 12, 2018 – Today is the final day for electors in the constituency of Regina Northeast to vote in the provincial by-election.

All 44 regular polls at nine different locations across the constituency opened on time at 9 a.m. today. They will remain open until 8 p.m. tonight. Soon after that, the preliminary results will be posted at results.elections.sk.ca.

While preliminary ballot counting takes place this evening, official results are announced following the Final Count to be held on September 24.

Preliminary results will be reported tonight from a total of 48 ballot boxes, comprised of:

  • 44 regular polls
  • 3 advance polls that were open September 6-10;
  • 1 homebound poll (5 homebound applications were received).

One additional poll for absentee votes will be added during the Final Count on September 24, for a total of 49 ballot boxes. Eighteen (18) absentee ballot applications were received.
