October 29, 2020, 5 p.m. The Second Preliminary Count of ballots for Saskatchewan’s 29th General Election has been completed. All vote by mail ballots received by Elections Saskatchewan before 8 p.m. on election day have been counted.

Ballot counting will resume on Saturday, November 7 for the Final Count. Only after the completion of the Final Count are election results considered official.

“Election officials have counted more than 40,000 ballots over the past two days – a great demonstration of democracy here in Saskatchewan,” says Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan. “I established the Second Preliminary Count, just two days after Election Day, to provide increased clarity of results for voters, candidates, political parties and the media before the Final Count.”

Results through the end of the Second Preliminary Count are available here:

The number you see in the Counted column on the far right of the results page has been distributed accordingly to the candidate totals on the left side of the results page.
